Short Research Description

Research in my laboratory is focused on the molecular pathogenesis of food-borne enteric pathogen Salmonella. Our studies are directed towards understanding the initial phase of infection such as adhesion, invasion, colonization and host inflammatory & immune responses that occur as a result of host-pathogen interaction. Utilizing in vitro and animal models, we use a wide range of techniques including the high-throughput transcriptomics, proteomics and phenotypic global profiling in addition to standard biological and molecular techniques.
