Short Research Description

Our lab studies control of blood flow in brains and skeletal muscles, and how obesity and insulin resistance alter blood flow control in development of CV disease

Significance:
Control of blood flow is important to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues, as well as remove waste products. In terms of muscles, this is critical to doing normal work/exercise and rated to health it's crucial for blood pressue and blood glucose regulation. High blood pressure and diabetes are two major public health problems related to poor regulation of blood flow
