Short Research Description

Understanding the molecular control of membrane trafficking events that control secretion in pancreatic acinar cells. The two major diseases of the pancreas are pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer both of which involve aberrant pathological changes in the secretory pathway. Understanding the molecular control of membrane trafficking in these cells is essential to understanding the pathology of disease.
