Short Research Description

My laboratory is devoted to determing the chemical neuroanatomy of brain serotonin circuits that are involved in physiology and behavior. We are unique in having generated a whole panel of antibodies against serotonin, its precursor, its metabolite, its transporter and seven of its receptors. We use these reagents in light and electron microscopic immunohistochemistry in combination with drug induced activation of nuclear genetic activity. We also distribute these reagents worldwide for use by other investigators.
